“How can it be that we have failed to impact our society in a greater way than we have?” That’s one of the topics recently addressed when Preston Parrish, vice president for My Hope America with Billy Graham, sat down with LifeWay’s Ed Stetzer on his weekly web program “The Exchange.”
The two discussed the state of evangelism and how My Hope America is helping to equip individuals to make a difference in their communities.
“At the heart of the My Hope strategy is the idea that – while there is certainly a place for evangelistic preaching in pulpits, evangelistic preaching in stadiums, evangelistic preaching over the airwaves and so on – the real key to the spread of the Gospel through a society is through the fabric of relationships,” said Parrish. “When you and I live out our faith, day in and day out, among our neighbors, our coworkers, our friends, they see, for good or ill, how it affects our lives. If we are what we ought to be – salt and light – they are going to be drawn to it.”
