My Hope UK with Billy Graham is a nationwide effort to reach people across the United Kingdom with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Following the 60th anniversary of the 1954 Harringay meetings, the 1955 Kelvin Hall meetings, and the 30th anniversary of Mission England, you can bring the same Gospel message to your community through My Hope UK with Billy Graham. Through this outreach you can present others with powerful testimonies and a recent message from Billy Graham. Let’s work together to share Jesus with a world desperate for hope.
No matter how you use this resource, remember that My Hope begins and ends with prayer. Here are some practical steps your church can start today:
Billy Graham once said “we must repent of our prayerlessness and make prayer our priority.” Evangelism must begin and end with prayer. Organise a group to pray for a burden and strategy for your community. Begin to pray specifically that people will be saved.
Set a date to show a My Hope film. Think creatively about how to show it—at a church-wide outreach, on youth retreats, in small groups, or in homes with friends.
Encourage your church to ask God for renewed love for people who need the hope of Jesus Christ. Write down names of those you will commit to pray for daily. Lead your people to humbly submit to God and ask for the Holy Spirit to revive the church.
Show a My Hope film and encourage your congregation to bring friends, neighbours, or loved ones. At the conclusion of the film, invite guests to put their faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour.
Use your own materials or BGEA resources to help new believers grow in faith. Involve your people in personal discipleship of those who made decisions.
Praise God for answering prayer and for the salvation of those who received Christ. Continue to pray for those who have not yet been saved and for additional opportunities to share the Gospel in your community.
The My Hope films can be shown in a variety of contexts and settings. Below are suggested ideas for how and where to present the videos:
Encourage your church to pray for those who need Christ in their lives, and invite them to watch a My Hope film at the church. You could show it before a church service, at an evening gathering, or at a special event. After watching the film, lead the church in an invitation and prayer to give their lives to Jesus.
Plan a gathering for youth. Show a My Hope film, have one or two young people give a brief, prepared testimony, then give a clear invitation and lead a prayer to receive Christ.
Several families can work together to invite friends, family, and neighbours to a street party or similar event where a My Hope film and brief testimonies are shared, followed by an invitation to receive Christ.
The My Hope films can be shown on a smartphone or tablet to two or three friends in any informal setting. Share your testimony—then kindly ask if they want to pray to receive Christ.
Pray for God to reveal Himself to your friends, family, and neighbours and then invite them into your home to watch a My Hope film. Share a meal together and then watch the program. Afterward, share how you found hope in Christ and invite them to pray to accept Him into their lives.
Show a My Hope film in a small group, at a movie night, a study group, Halls of Residence, or at your CU (Christian Union). Have one or two prepared young people give their testimony briefly, and then give a clear invitation and lead in prayer to receive Christ.
Show a My Hope film during a chapel service, in a class, one on one, or in any way to bring people together to hear the Gospel. After the film, give a clear invitation and lead a prayer to receive Christ.
